Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)
Directional drilling is a trenchless technology that does not disturb surface structures or obstacles, which causes minimal impact to the surrounding environment. This method of installing underground pipe and conduit is a viable alternative, when trenching is not a practical choice.
HDD is safer for the environment and a deeper installation is possible. It eliminates trench settling problems, causes less traffic disruption and optimizes overall job performance. It can maneuver around buried obstacles.
Applications of HDD are installing pipe (HDPE, PVC, or Steel), installing innerduct and fiber optic cable, commercial or residential irrigation systems, routing of security & communications lines to remote locations, bore under roadways, parking lots, railroad crossings from parking lots, sidewalks and streets to pipelines and bodies of water.
